Yes, you can generally receive a Brazilian wax while you’re on your period as long as you’re comfortable doing so and use a tampon or mist cup during the service.

No. Waxing should not be performed while taking isotretinoin commonly known by the former brand name Accutane.
Isotretinoin can make the skin significantly more fragile and increase the risk of skin, lifting, tearing, or injuryduring waxing.
If you are currently taking isotretinoin or have recently stopped taking it, please disclose this before scheduling and consult your prescribing healthcare provider regarding when waxing can safely be resumed.
Certain prescription and over-the-counter retinoids, acids, exfoliate, acne, medications, and skin treatment treatments can increase skin sensitivity, and make waxing unsafe in the area where they are being used.
Always disclose the medications and active skin care products you’re using before your appointment. Depending on the product, strength, treatment area, and your skin, your waxing service may need to be modified or postponed.

Is generally best to wait at least six weeks after giving birth, and until you been cleared by your healthcare provider, especially for Brazilian or bikini waxing. Your skin can be extra sensitive, postpartum, and any tearing, stitches, C-section, incision, swelling, or irritation should be completely healed before waxing. Everyoneheals differently, so when in doubt, get your healthcare providers approval before scheduling.
You can still get waxed while on your period, but if you’re uncomfortable with it, you’re always welcome to reschedule. Keep in mind that hormonal changes can make some people more sensitive to waxing during their cycle. If you’re uncomfortable with decide to keep your Brazilian appointment, simply wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup during your service. If you prefer to reschedule, please give as much notice as possible and follow the studio’s cancellation/reschedule policy.
